Gold Paw Series "Stretch Fleece Coats" Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great day! Today I have a review for you on the Stretch Fleece coat from Gold Paws Series. I received these coats in exchange for an honest review but I was not monetarily compensated.

Lately the weather has been pretty good for Oregon! We've had some really nice, sunny days but it's still pretty cold outside. Especially in the early morning and at night. I've been inspired by KB from Romping and Rolling in the Rockies and we've been getting up super early and hitting the hiking trails!

The girls are not that thrilled about going out when it's still really cold. Zoe will complain the entire hike if she's cold and when I say complain, I'm serious about it. She will whine at the top of her lungs, look miserable and lag behind and even better if we get anywhere close to a trails that takes you back to the car, she will take off for it! If she's cold and upset about being cold, I have to leash her near the exit trails because nothing will convince her that we should keep walking.

We've been experiencing weather that's really in between... it's not cold enough for heavy jackets and if they wore those they'd be too hot from running around. The Stretch Fleece coats work perfectly for this weather because they are nice and light while keeping the girls warm. I could also layer these under their heavier jackets if needed.

About Stretch Fleece
The Stretch Fleece coat is a year round coat that contains recycled polyester and 7% spandex for 4-way stretch. The finish is unbelievably soft! It's very easy to put on and moves with the dog for their comfort. They are also washer/dryer safe and come in a variety of colors and sizes from chihuahua to great dane!

Overall, I really like the Stretch Fleece coats! Zoe and Phoenix wore them at Thousand Acres and we walked for 2 hours going about 4.5 miles with the girls running loose. The coats kept them warm and it was a very cold and windy day. They were able to run easily in them because they are so light and the coats did not cause any rubbing or irritation in their armpit areas. Phoenix's coat is a bit too long for her but I ordered them both in Zoe's size. It being too long doesn't really bother her, though! On the website it does recommend that you order one size smaller than what your dog would need as long as they don't have a wide chest and I probably should of taken that advice!

The girls will definitely get good use from these! I would recommend checking Gold Paw out!

ZoePhee was provided with two Stretch Fleece coats in exchange for an honest review. I was not monetarily compensated for the review and I only share information that I feel is relevant to my readers. As always my reviews are 100% honest. 2. If your dog needs a coat, these sound real good for in between weather. Bailie likes the purple one.

  3. Those look like nice jackets. The added benefit that they look great in the photos. A little color against all the brown/tan. :) Good for you guys for getting out early to hike. Thanks so much for joining the hop!

  5. I have one in blue and it was a real godsend over the past couple of months. One of my dogs - my deaf hound girl, Ran - has been really sick. With the extreme snow and cold, I was so glad to have a dog coat that I could slip on her quickly before taking her outside. She was wearing hers 24/7 at first, except when I took it off her to wash it every couple of days. It's still soft and fits her perfectly.

  6. I am thrilled at reading this review! I have been in a rather awkward spot in that my two greyhounds Jenny & Lil' Bit have sweaters that are handmade from Etsy but are falling apart and stretched out too big. Both of the girls hate their sweaters, but it's so cold on some days that they need them to not freeze. Also, they get really, really itchy in their sweaters. I am going to go purchase two right now. I want to be prepared for next winter and with the way things have been goofy lately, they just may need to use them yet this year.

    Thanks! Fizz

  7. Sorry but I just cannot wear clothes! Every now and again mom makes me do it and I turn into a statue!

  8. Glad they have larger sizes! This year during a cold snap I was walking Bain home, when I went to pet him he was shivering. So he'll definitely need a coat for next winter!

  9. These look nice! I like the look of the company's harness, too.

  10. Those look great, nice and stretchy so the girls can run and leap like usual while wearing them. Zoe sounds like quite the drama queen about the cold, and I'm glad that the coat helps so much!

I'm glad that I inspired you to get out early. It's especially great for "sensitive dogs" because there aren't many other dogs or people to scare them!
